Hello Word - About Maayan Keynan at latentbloomers.com

I am Maayan Keynan,

Maayan Keynan, activist - latentbloomers.com

A complete beginning activist on a quest for equality.

After years of researching the field, I developed a hypothesis, which eventually lead to creating Latent Bloomers - a website to showcase my progress.

Openness first, this act was, and still is, my new platform for making a living, and it consists on showing you exactly how, and why I do it.

Shaking Off

Latent Bloomers is a mirror room that reflects my personal process of becoming an activist. This process began years ago, when I started feeling the damages of making the “wrong” “choices”, but only now, upon creating this website, I realized I am an activist.

Apparently, I am supposed to override my personal evolution, and drive it into a very narrow aspect of living – wealthy.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but I’m not equipped for it.

Equality Activism, latentbloomers.com

I’m equipped for equality. I give all I have to give, and I expect the same. When that doesn’t happen, I move on in the search for a platform that would operate under that condition.

Unfortunately, all my personality, life experience, hands on experience, diplomas, degrees, autodidacticism, and only good intentions, aren’t enough to authorize me to set policies in the places I get to, and I’m left with the choice to comply to their policies, or leave.

After leaving countless times, I realized there is no place where they speak my language.

I’ve lived in countless apartments and cities here in Israel, but not just. I’ve worked in countless jobs and fields, in and out my academic and professional fields of study. I graduated MSc, BSc, and technical school in chemical engineering and biotechnology. I’m a certified Pilates instructor. I studied literary and screenplay writing, and business operating and managing. I self studied (or study) English, carpentry, home maintenance, history, programming, cooking, baking, ecology, astrophysics, ethics, economy, evolution, equality, site building, and now how to make a living on the internet. I’m a single parent raising two incredible sons. I always aspire to improve myself. I know and want to contribute, and I believe I am not alone in this.

I am all that and more, but I am not a winner.

I prefer to stay out of competition over anything. I’m having a hard time demanding a salary that wouldn’t leave me with an accumulated deficit, just because the boss doesn’t want to let me feel that I “won”. I have problems confronting anyone, even when I do have the upper hand, and I know it’s being taken advantage of for all my life. I would give a lot, and would be payed back unequally, just to belong somewhere.

I could never follow any self motivational or self empowerment strategies like saying to my self that I am number one, or the best at anything. I don’t really think that. And I love it about myself. I overanalyze anything. This will never change, it’s what makes me a scientist. I’m oversensitive and I believe everything is personal. History implies that this won’t change either. I will never get settled anywhere that I feel bad at, no matter what the cost is. I try not to hurt anyone, and take responsibility when I realize I do. I never used any of my appearance characteristics to promote anything. I don’t think I can do that. I am not a racist, but I don’t think racism shouldn’t be our focus.

I believe it should be equality.

Starting Out

latent bloomers, start, equality activism, latentbloomers.com

By now, I haven’t found my place in the world carrying this character, but overanalyzing anything lead me to not accepting the fact that while someone is benefiting from me being me, they prevent the same from me, usually with the excuse that nothing is personal, meaning “you give us your personality, but you get standards, which weren’t even set by us”.

And so, I created Latent Bloomers. A hall for showcasing my study of equality, in the form of a live active experiment – Making a living based solely on my personality, as non-winner as it is.

I believe that being a winner is only a matter of statistics – we are all gifted in one way or another, but only few of the traits and abilities people might have, have the potential to be beneficial to them. I believe it's a social issue. I can’t accept this inequality.

During its existence, Latent Bloomers will reveal the personal processes and public sources that have been, or will be, a part of this evolution, and will be open for the use of whoever finds them needed.

As site-building, social media, activism, and making a living online are all new to me, and I have tons to learn and improve, I would like to note in advance that changes are going to be made, and humbly ask for your understanding, as it is all part of an evolution.

I hope you find this place enriching and pleasant, and I hope you will make use of it.

Thank you for reading,

Maayan.
