WHAT IS BrainNarration?
BrainNarrations are written narrated thinking processes that are the core of every aspect of this website, including the decision to create it, the decision on how and what to study, the practices that were followed, and the outcomes of every step, experiment, and process.
They originated while I was trying to find ways to make a living on the internet and realized that many of the options offered online are not an option for Israelis.
Trying to live open-source ways of living, I thought I could find the way to get access to those options, making it my job and then giving back whatever I can, which for me meant (and still does) the products of the learning process.
A good way, which was recommended by every guide to making money online, was creating a website. I avoided that all those years (right now I can’t even understand why), and it was time to give it a try.
Packed with my idea for original content - a guide to Breaking Internet’s glass ceiling, I bought a computer and a domain, and began what came to be the words you are reading now.
Why were BNs created?
Struggling with Hosts, CMS, SEO, Data, APIs, Sitemaps, Crawling, Privacy Policies, affiliates, etc., I wished there was a guide, a handbook, that would speak Beginner – Troubleshooting Technicalities of being a Beginner, like connecting your domain, recognizing your Stunning-CMS limits, and establishing your personal working-methods.
I decided to write this guide, making it accessible for everyone online, as well as the content, the products, and, myself.
The way to do it was clearly by opening my mind. Next thing I knew I was uploading my first docs to the site, regardless of them not being suitable for reading. I thought that someone might make use of them, and ended up thinking that someone might make use of much more of them – the process of learning why I should not use them.
I started writing everything I can – not just the drafts of a post, but also inner monologues, personal issues, doubts, trial-and-errors, searches, correlations, memories, sources, resources, everything that I could put my hands on, was to be compiled into a Word-doc that could be downloaded from the site and observed by whoever finds it useful.
At first, those docs were named BrainPrisms, to distinguish them from publishable content, so visitors could access them separately if they wish to read them, and they won’t be in the way of the site’s public content. Then I thought it isn’t really giving them, since most chances are no one will want to download them and might even get annoyed by needing to take this action, like I get when all I want is to try reading a few words, and then possibly move on.
I copied them to text elements in the editor and made a nice stunning page for BrainPrisms – sections of copied Word-docs in plain-text, and links to the originals.
I didn’t enter that page since then.
Proceeding with learning to build the site, I started using lightboxes, which derived a new type of brainprisms, Site-BPs – a webpage that can hold the copied Word-docs and show the page below, so you can observe a change in personal aspects like design, writing style, methodology, etc., while observing its personality-meta-data.
I guess it’s the lack of skills that deprives me from efficiency, and lead to the formation of these two types of BPs: Word-type and Site-type, which aren’t identical and produce different phenotypes of writing.
A good example for this documented change in characteristics is renaming BrainPrism, which went through GeneNarration and to the BrainNarration that is being used today, and may change as I mature.
Where to find?
Buttons and links to BNs are scattered throughout the site on all pages.
Any LB's triangle is a button to a BN, except for the one in the logo (which takes to Home).
They do not always origin in the page they are accessed from, but all relate to all pages and present personal processes and trends.
Word-BNs are downloadable as word docs, and have links to them whenever relevant.
Requests for site-content will be answered positively as long as it doesn't violate anyone's privacy or damages anyone.
Requests for designated, predefined BNs, will be happily accepted, so feel free to ask for them (Site-type, Word-type, or specific interests to address using this type of writing).

Look around you!
Along with personal content, public content is used and
published throughout in every BN, and is available for interaction and use.
Watch for media players, mini players, video players, interactive images, buttons, articles, guides, quotes, contact forms, and social tools.
How to use?
BrainNarration is a lightbox and therefore it enables watching the page below, scroll it, and return to it with a click.
They act like a satellite of a page or a post, and contain the thinking and thoughts that are the heart of the element they accompany.
Due to technical issues (as you know, I’m a beginner), BNs are not specific to a page. The reason is that I can’t assign a specific lightbox to a specific dynamic page, and can’t add anchors to lighboxes, which forced me to make independent lightboxes that may refer to several pages. However, each lightbox (i.e. BN) was created specifically for a specific element and is designed according to its content and appearance.
All BNs have an X-close-button pinned to middle of page, a close-button pinned to buttom, which also displays the BN’s name, and left & right margins that enable scrolling the page below when hovered, and returning to it when clicked.
Other fixed element on a BN enable scrolling the page below.
Pinned (fixed) elements include: close-buttons, header, margins of BN (distinguishable), and any other element that doesn’t scroll with the rest of the BN.
As you can’t add anchors to a lightbox, it is not possible to reach any specific position on it, but the top (they are not supposed to be page-long). I am sorry for the inconvenience, and trying to work it out.
Other functionalities like playing media and navigating outside or inside the site are available.
About Privacy
BNs are supposed to display my thoughts as close to the origin as can be, however it would be presumptuous to state that they do.
Being just a fraction of mind, they represent just a fraction of personality, but here is the thing: writing them has changed me, right from the beginning, and the change itself is documented and displayed authentically.
Having said that I must regard Privacy: my decision to give all of me to you came first and foremost to benefit others, meaning everyone who isn’t me.
The thought of this website hurting anyone is unbearable, and conflicts every thing I am trying to do. I will put everything out there as long as it is mine, and therefore I will not name or refer to any private entity who didn’t accept, or otherwise grant me the rights to use it or parts of it.
In addition to it being inhuman, I believe it’s unnecessary and doesn’t contribute anything to learning.
Speaking of contribution, I consider anything as contribution, and try my best to contribute back. Right now it’s done mainly by accrediting sources, linking to them, and occasionally “buying them a cup of coffee”.
I use a lot of open-sources for creating this, which without them none of this would happen. I am trying to include everyone, but being overload with data and content lets some slip, resulting in some sources being displayed only in the BNs, and don’t make it to the site.
